Our Story

How it all started...

Write the vision and make it plain.
The vision was given to the founder Keith Desso Douglas to organize a church which focused on serving God, His Way.
The vision was presented to several of his friends and family members. Many showed interest in making this vision happen.
This new plant used the bible as it's guide. All we do must be biblically based.
Using the home of one of its members, the church began to have weekly bible study session as we look for a permanent facility.

On the first Sunday in September 2003, the first service was held in a school cafeteria, and the rest is history.

To God be the glory, for the things He has and is doing the the life of the His Way family.

Expanding the vision...

His Way make it our mission to reach out to those in need. This means going to the streets and feeding those who are hungry. Houston has a large homeless population, so periodically, meals are provided. In the winter, coats an blankets are distributed to keep them warm. Personal hygiene items are also provided. Our mission is to help other live in dignity without asking questions.

Where we are headed...

The great commission says, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Our mission is to make disciples for Christ. That's our main focus, changes lives, one life at a time.
